COVID-19 is pushing companies to rapidly operate in new ways, and systems resilience is being tested as never before. GBS needed to respond rapidly to maintain continuity and to de-risk their operations to
continue serving their customers, and so decided to enable 160 virtual desktops, connected to their CRM and PBX via web browser, as well as access to internet and corporate datacenter through VPN.
Nub8 assessed GBS and helped provision Amazon WorkSpaces instances to provide secure cloud desktops for remote employees across different departments in different geographies.
With Amazon WorkSpaces, GBS was able to eliminate the complexity of managing hardware inventory, OS versions and patches, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, simplifying their desktop delivery strategy. On the other hand, GBS employees got a fast, responsive desktop that can be accessed anywhere, anytime, from any supported device.
